Positive Ion Control – Cannon’s Downrigger Technology

Electroreception is the biological ability to sense electrical fields and impulses. Although very uncommon in mammals, electroreception is a common ability in many fish species. Since air is a very poor medium for electricity, electroreception is a trait found primarily in water; both freshwater and saltwater.

Since electrical impulses cause muscle contraction, every muscle movement produces an electrical discharge. This is particularly useful for predators, such as sharks, who are seeking prey. Normal movement causes low levels of impulses, while a wounded fish would cause large levels of impulses. Because sharks are among the most sensitive to electrical impulses, they are also among the greatest predators of the ocean. Through the darkness of the depths of the ocean or the cover of murky water, sharks can easily find their prey. Aside from enabling a fish to find its prey, electroreception is beneficial in a variety of other ways. It allows fish to evade predators, communicate with other fish, navigate at night or during other moments of low visibility, find objects in the water, and it aids in reproduction. Electrical currents caused by the earth’s magnetic fields can also act as a biological compass for animals that possess this incredible ability.

Some downriggers offer the ability to use positive ions to create electrical fields in the water. This is referred to by the Cannon line as “positive ion control”. This process involves a voltage difference between the downrigger wire and the boat that causes an electric field. The size of this field is somewhat dependent on the size of the boat and the materials of which it is made. Some fish are attracted to a small positive charge, while a strong positive or negative charge will repel them. Positive ion control can be extremely useful when targeting these types of fish. Catfish, trout, salmon, and bass are among the species of game fish attracted by positive ion control. Since different voltage levels tend to attract different types of fish, it is important to know what species is being targeted. When used correctly, positive ion control offers a competitive edge to both the serious and the occasional fisherman.

You have just had a break up and now you are thinking you might like to get back together with your ex, are you still interested, do you really feel that it would be best for you to get back with your ex? If you love the other person and really want to restart things, you will need to take some time to think about. For instance what caused the break up to happen? What can you do to make love grow again? Do you remember why you fell in love with this person? Do you really still love them? You may also feel that staying home and crying yourself to sleep day in and day out until you are to tired to think anymore will help. That is also not going to help you or your hope of getting back together again.

If you really would like to get your ex back and you are sincere about making that work out best for both of you here are three steps you can take to rekindle your relationship! You have just had a break up and now you are thinking you might like to get back together with your ex, are you still interested, do you really feel that it would be best for you to get back with your ex? Let me first warn you, calling up your ex and begging them to get back together again is not the thing to do!

1 – First and most important, before you can consider getting back together accept that what happened has happened and is now in your past.

It can be difficult to accept and understand that the breakup happened, but you really must to go forward in the future. Your relationship was broken and this is your chance to rebuild and renew your relationship. To go forward you need to get out of your past, leave the old relationship behind and begin a new future together. This allows you to build a relationship that is separate and better than your last time together.

2- Second, do not begin your post break up attempt to make up by calling your ex!

Do not call your ex while you begin working on getting back together. You need some time to reflect on what happened. Time to let your emotions and temper cool down. You need some time to figure out where things went wrong and what happened to the love and mutual respect you shared. Start going through things in your mind, see what was working and what was not. Work to improve those things in your mind. Take time to let the mourning in your heart and head pass, take time to heal.

3 – Lastly, getting back together again means waiting until the timing is perfect.

When you are feeling better prepared to get back together after your break up, it is time to begin planning when where and how. Once you arr prepared to restart your romance again, you should have a much clearer picture of whether or not you really love him or her. Rather than worry about who was at fault in the ending of your relationship, focus your energy on all the great things about your time together, things that made you love each other. Chances are that you will still run into each other at times, now is the time to start a casual conversation. If that goes well you can work up to a good friendship and just let things progress naturally from there. If you take small steps, don’t rush and have a positive attitude, getting back with your ex will be simpler than you can imagine!

A broken relationship is seldom good for those of us involved. You break up and work toward divorce but maybe the best thing for both of you would be a way to work out your problems and save your future together. There are ways to do that, come and see me at and find out How to stop my divorce

4 Steps to Maintain a Positive Attitude When Unemployed

You just woke up at 11:00 AM for the third straight day… 4 days after you were given the boot for no reason of your own you are still in that unemployment funk. If you want to get out of that cloud, you need to read the following and make the necessary adjustments.

The first thing to realize is that you are not the only person in this predicament. Others, in situations much worse than you, are in the same boat named unemployment. Some of them are facing utility shutoffs, concern about their food bill… even evictions.

So, let’s look at some ways to get that attitude back where it belongs and make your world a happier place. One thing to keep in the forefront of your mind is that nothing lasts forever on this earth. Being an unemployed person will pass.

Going forward follow these simple steps to keep from falling back into a depressing funk:

• Get up early and when you get up, wake up. Daylight is known to help keep a person positive.

• Dress as if you were going out in public. You may just wear ratty jeans and your favorite torn t-shirt around the house but in an effort to keep you from the unemployment funk, dress as though you were having lunch or dinner with a friend.

• Communicate, communicate, communicate. Nothing holds you down more than just internalizing everything going on in your life. Call a friend, chat with old coworkers, make an effort to share a little something with the bagger at the local grocery store.

• Be your Boy Scout best. Do a good deed… better yet, do several. Giving to others will lift your spirits and make a positive impact on your community as well. It’s not all about you and your problems and doing good deeds helps you realize that.

Follow those simple steps and your period of unemployment won’t sting nearly as much and your interaction may very well lead to a job opportunity that will change your economic status.

Positive Affirmation – 3 Tips For Better Results

If you’ve gotten into the habit of creating positive affirmation statements to support your desired results in life, you’re probably noticing some changes already. Yet sometimes at first your feedback comes in fits and spurts. Something great will happen, and then things will taper off for a bit. It can get frustrating. Fortunately, there’s usually something else to tweak. Try these 3 tips for intermediate “affirmers.”

1. Keep tabs on your everyday language. Sure, when you started out it was great to have a couple sentences to call on when things began to feel rough. Maybe you even got into a habit of beginning or ending your day with affirmations. Or you taped them up on the bathroom mirror, on the cover of your journal, or on the dashboard of your car. Those are all great ways of keeping a planned statement present in your consciousness.

Yet everyday language counts, too. Remember that any firm statement is an affirmation. Begin to monitor your day-to-day conversation, both inside and out, for statements that conflict with the positive affirmation you’ve chosen.

Let’s be clear:

* If your planned statement affirms abundance, but you spend a lot of time telling the kids “we can’t afford it,” then you’ve got a conflict. Try this instead: “Let’s get some other things today and put that on our list for another time.”

* If your planned statement affirms comfort in your body, yet your inner conversation routinely says “My back is killing me,” then you’ve got a conflict. Try this instead: “As I breathe deeply, the muscles in my back relax.”

* If your planned statement affirms a happy relationship with your spouse, yet you secretly criticize his evenings spent zoning out in front of the TV, then you’ve got a conflict. Try this instead: “I appreciate how hard Jim works all day. It’s great when we find ways to relax and unwind together.”

2. Expect your behavior to change. The language of an affirmation is extremely powerful. Yet the words themselves are not magic. It’s more about the context they create. No matter what your inside conversation, if you rigorously continue doing the same old things, you will continue to produce the same old results.

The positive statements are meant to inspire you to come up with fresh solutions and follow through on them. Some of the ideas that “pop” into your head may seem strange. They will surely be different from the old ideas you entertained in the past. That’s because you are now moving into a slightly different world — a world of great possibility!

Build some credibility with yourself by trying out a few of the crazy ideas you get. As you do, you’ll no doubt find that some work better than others. No matter. Follow through as best you can on the the ideas that begin working for you. Once you start to see results, take notice. Your affirmation is taking on material form. It’s also becoming more believable.

* You begin to believe that you will one day be able to buy the kids that gadget they asked about because it’s already becoming a bit easier to manage the essentials. Didn’t you just get to payday with cash left in your wallet? Darn tootin’ you did!

* You begin to believe your back will relax as you exhale tension because after the massage therapist finished with you last week, you felt great for two whole days. It’s possible!

* You begin to believe that you and your spouse will enjoy the benefits of a closer relationship because last Tuesday after work, you spent some time on the couch watching TV with him. And then didn’t he say that it had felt nice? Yep. Well, it’s a start!

3. Consider affirming your state. State means how you “are.” When you “are” abundance, or health, or connectedness, you make choices that match your experience. Of course when you “are” scarcity, or illness, or separation, then your choices match that experience as well.

Observe a role model to see how they are being. Let’s say your role model is confident and charismatic. Fine. Affirm that you are confident and charismatic. Better yet, affirm “I am confidence and charisma.” Using language, bring yourself into the same state of being that your role model enjoys.

You will not turn into your role model. But before you know it, you are likely to begin making the same type of choices that they would make if they were in your situation. The most likely outcome of that strategy, of course, is that your situation will begin to look a little more like theirs. If you’ve chosen wisely, that’s bound to be a very good thing!

Positive Affirmation For Beginners – 5 Tips

What’s in a word? As it turns out, quite a lot. Especially when that word, or group of words, is spoken firmly — with conviction. That’s a good working definition of an affirmation: a word or group of words spoken firmly or with conviction. If you’d like to put language to work for you in your life (after all, what could be easier?), then these beginners’ tips could be right up your alley.

1. Speak positively about what you want to create. Often times it’s the things we don’t like that get our attention first. It’s natural to comment about what you notice, even if it’s in the privacy of your own mind. So don’t be surprised if you start to observe yourself making comments about things you don’t like. Just don’t dwell on them.

One of the easiest ways to avoid dwelling on common things that bug you in your life — like your weight, your finances, or a sore back, for example — is to plan ahead a positive statement about what you’d like to create instead. Then, when you notice yourself thinking about the situation you’re not so crazy about, replace that thought with the planned positive one.

Here are some examples:

* I feel lighter and lighter each day.
* Nature’s abundance expresses itself easily in my life.
* I feel comfortable in my body.

2. Make your positive statements personal. When you plan your positive affirmation, use words like these: “I, me, my, [your first name].” The very strongest affirmations are stated in the first person, using the word “I” or your first name. “Me” or “my” statements work pretty well too, though, so don’t obsess about it.

While general statements about goodness for all are great to use as part of your everyday language, they don’t make the best planned positive affirmations. It’s terrific that you want everyone to have lots of abundance. In fact, that background conversation supports your success much more richly than a selfishly exclusive one.

Yet in your own personal statement, be very specific. Include yourself. The statement “I am richly abundant.” makes a stronger personal affirmation than “Abundance is a natural state for all humans.”

3. Make your planned positive affirmations simple and easy to remember. Once you begin to realize the power of consciously choosing your language, it might be tempting to “throw in the kitchen sink” and start affirming everything! Of course, ultimately you can. But let’s start out simply. Create one or two short sentences to begin with. Then commit them to memory.

In the heat of the moment, it’s much easier to pluck something like “I feel slim and light.” from the recesses of your mind than to try and wrestle with “I feel so slim and light and now I’m off my blood pressure medicine, my doctor is so proud of me, and my spouse says I look better than I did on our wedding day. Boy am I ever excited!” You’d have finished the hot fudge sundae already by the time you spit that one out!

4. Keep your values in mind. You’d probably have come up with this on your own in a minute, but just to make sure we’re all on the same page, let’s discuss it. While keeping your positive statements personal, make sure they are personal in a way that supports your values. In other words, no lying, cheating, stealing, or dissing someone else.

* Pick: “Massive wealth is coming to me now.” over “I’ve come up with a foolproof bank robbery scheme.”
* Pick: “I look great on the beach in my new bikini.” over “I look better in a bikini than Jane does.”
* Pick: “I’m so happy with my perfect partner.” over “I am so happy since I stole John away from Mary.”

5. Affirm for yourself, not for someone else. Yep, I know it’s tempting. Your sister would feel so much better if she could just lose those last 15 pounds. She knows it and so do you. Your kid should do his homework, too. And wouldn’t it be great if your friend Charlie settled down with that picture-perfect gal he just met? (He said she can cook. That’s a bonus!)

Of course it’s admirable that you want the best for your family and friends. But you can’t do their life for them. Put your energy into improving things for yourself. Should they wonder what you’re up to now that you’re looking so peaceful and satisfied, then share your little secret. Teach them to create their own affirmations!

How Can I Keep A Positive Attitude At Work? 6 Tips To Keep Your Head High

How are you supposed to keep a positive attitude at work when Jim always tells you that he knows how to do it better than you and your boss always catches you daydreaming even though you only do it one time a day! Your coworkers are full of negativity and despair and it’s hard to keep your head up after talking to them and you keep getting work piled on you that you don’t really have time for in your schedule.

Work should be a place that you go to, do a job, and make some money but instead it sometimes can be the most negative place of your day that you have a hard time getting through and no longer look forward going to.

So how can you stay positive at your work?

1. Change Jobs – First and foremost if you are unhappy with your job and you don’t enjoy the tasks that you are given each day to do then you have to change jobs for your sanity. You can lie to yourself and say that you enjoy what you are doing even when you don’t but that will only get you through so many days of the work week.

Remember this. There are many people who stay in their jobs out of fear of not being able to get another one and they live their life complaining and unhappy when they could have just took a shot at a new job and spent their life doing what they loved.

2. Get Your Sleep – If you get the right amount of sleep every night then this will allow you to have more energy to deal with problems effectively throughout the day like finishing extra work or running from that annoying co-worker.

3. Take Your Breaks – There are many people who work through their breaks thinking that they will get more done in the work day but the truth is the quality of your work is suffering from this and your stress level is also suffering.

You have to take a few minutes to let your mind think about something other than work to be at your most productive self throughout the day and you will become frustrated very easily if you don’t. Even after a 10 minute break you will find yourself more productive.

4. Eat a Healthy Lunch – Do not opt in for processed or fried foods for lunch and do not overeat during lunch or your work will pay for it after lunch. When we overeat or eat unhealthy food our bodies use tons of energy to digest this mess of food, which means the energy that should be going towards work will be busy and you will not be that productive and you will feel negative about your days progress and possibly having to be there.

5. Do Not Join In The Misery – It can be hard not to get caught up in the complaining and negativity that your co-workers put out but if you want to have a better outlook about your job then you need to put a stop to it and no longer let other people drag you down.

If everyone else is complaining about the meeting that is going to soak up all of your work day then you can be the one that talks about how the meeting is going to teach you things to make your job easier or better and you are looking forward to it. If you don’t think that talking about it will do anything then at least avoid the talk and think the positive thoughts for yourself. The truth is when most people are in a land of negativity they can’t see the positive side of things and won’t engage in that kind of talk anywase.

6. Do Not Let Your Coworkers Bully You – There is so much bullying going on in today’s workplace that it’s almost as if high school has taken over everywhere.

There are the people who think they are better than you and let you know it at every turn. There are the clicks that talk about you while you walk by or behind your back. There is the boss that makes you feel as though you are worthless and not able to do your job properly. There are so many people at work that want to bring you down to their level of misery and they can be hard if not impossible to avoid.

The thing is you have to fix the problem or you will suffer through your days and drag it home after work with you and make yourself even more unhappy.

Either stand up for yourself and tell them directly that they can’t treat you like this or talk to someone higher up than them. Sometimes you boss may be the one bullying you and in that case you have to go over their head.

Whatever you do, do not be afraid of the outcome as you don’t deserve to spend your time being bullied anywhere, let alone a place you are trying to do a job.

A Positive Belief System Can Propel You to Incredible Heights

Ever wondered why some people seem to excel at everything they do, while others seem to be destined for failure? Why is this?

Our thoughts, beliefs, actions and non-actions determine where we are in life, and where we are headed. If we uncovered our beliefs, many of us would be surprised to see it brimming with negativity and shortcomings.  And if we stayed on our current course, these shortcomings and beliefs would stop us from achieving our desired results in life.

Sometimes our limiting beliefs were instilled in us by others from a very young age. For example, you may have been raised to believe that you will never be wealthy and don’t deserve to be because no-one in your family has ever been rich. So even though you tell yourself you want to be rich, those instilled beliefs about prosperity will stop you dead in your tracks.

The good news is that we can change our belief systems.

The first step is to recognize negative thoughts and beliefs and turn them into positive ones. This can be difficult to start with. Just recognizing them can be hard enough, let alone trying to find a positive replacement. It does get easier in time, especially once you start seeing results. This doesn’t mean that you will never have a negative thought again. You would not be human if you didn’t. You just have to be aware of the negative thought, and stop it in it’s tracks before it drags you down.

The next step in changing your belief system is truly believing. You can go around until you’re blue in the face saying “I am going to make $ 100,000 in the next 12 months”. That’s great, but if you don’t truly believe you can, chances are that you won’t.

So start with one negative belief you have. Write it down. For me writing it down sets the wheels in motion. Think about how you can turn it into a positive. Write down the positive belief next to the negative equivalent. Truly believe in yourself that you can achieve it. This may seem difficult at first. You may even want to read your positive beliefs to yourself a couple of times a day. This gives you a positive mindset, making the self belief easier. You will soon start to see that your whole attitude and mindset begins to shift. If you keep applying these simple techniques, there should be no stopping you!

Focus on Goals – The Positive Psychology of Hope

My favorite Positive Psychological strength is HOPE. If you have high hopes you look down the road of your life and see lots of potential accomplishments. You know there will be hard times – even times you’ll want to give up. You are, however, confident that ultimately your abilities (and your ability to solve problems) will lead you to new and better things. Your goals make life exciting and interesting!

Contrast this with a person of no or low hopes. That person still has dreams and goals, but those goals cause anxiety and self-doubt instead of interest and excitement. That person looks down the road of life only to see potholes, detours, and dead ends. Often just thinking about all those obstacles is enough to make someone quit before they even start. Better to stay wherever you are, even if it’s stuck in the mediocre mire, than to start something that will be a lot of trouble and won’t work anyway!

Good News! Hopeful thinking is something you can acquire at any age. Some people learn it as children, but if you learned just the opposite in your childhood there’s still time to change your outlook. No matter what your family background, your money “issues”, your education (or lack thereof) – you can raise your level of hope and look towards a more exciting future. Keep in mind I didn’t say it was easy – there are old habits of thinking and living that are safe and comfortable. Some of these old standbys will have to go. They will not go quietly.

Hope is active. Hope involves setting goals and finding ways to accomplish those goals. Sometimes it requires finding different ways if one path turns out to be a dead end. Hope also involves a driving energy force that keeps moving you towards your goal. You need the power of both your will and your creative ways. This is interesting – hope does not depend upon achieving your goal 100% of the time. All you need is a little taste of success along the way as you practice. Those little victories keep the feeling of hope building inside you.

Hope can be measured and hope can be taught. The first step is to ask the miracle question: If a miracle occurred and I could have my life exactly the way I want it, what would it be like? The next step is to look at all the arenas in your life and ask yourself that same question. If a miracle occurred and I could have my personal relationships exactly the way I want them, what would it be like? If a miracle occurred and I could have my career and work life exactly the way I want them, what would it be like? Do the same for physical health, education, finances, mental health, recreation and spirituality.

It is interesting that satisfaction with life does not necessarily mean the achievement of grand and glorious goals. It does mean that you have met the goals you set for yourself to your satisfaction.

Let’s say that your life would be most different if a miracle occurred in the arena of physical health, fitness and recreation. These may be areas that could benefit from a little boost of hope in your life. You might decide to set a goal to begin an exercise program. Next it’s up to you – your ability to find a way to begin and willpower to carry you through. The way is usually easy at first glance. You decide that a way to begin is to get up at 5:00 AM and run for a mile. Don’t forget to plan for a way to make you get out of bed! Maybe you need to move the alarm across the room and leave the snooze feature disabled. Will power doesn’t come into play right away, as evidenced by how many folks religiously pursue their New Year’s Resolutions – for three weeks. Will power has to kick in when you get tired or bored or aren’t seeing the results you wanted.

Hope is a way of approaching life that says YES and I CAN. Positive Psychology reminds us and our coaches and counselors that hope can be learned at any age. The best we can do for ourselves is to focus on what we CAN do and where we want to go. Clarity and persistence come from the hope we nurture in ourselves.

Self-Empowerment – Painting Your Positive Mental Self

Let’s get organized first. Begin by writing down what you perceive as your fitness problems and body challenges. Think of it as a personal contract that your life may very well depend on as you work towards that healthy and fit mind and body. Please do not skip this important initial step in our strategy. Just thinking about “it” is not nearly enough because our thoughts tend to run in circles. But by putting it in writing or sharing it with someone creates a sense of personal responsibility towards your goals. Thoughts are powerful but action creates results! We will focus on motivation a little later.

You truly want to succeed at this and so you begin by envisioning yourself, an image that makes you feel good both in the inside and outside. This method of visualization often gets a negative reputation like it is some kind of weird science. It isn’t! What I’m talking about is mental imagery, positive thinking in your fitness recovery undertaking. You don’t need elaborate equipment or technique for this mental exercise you just need to concentrate. It really takes work to make it effective. Let me help in the process by giving you a psychological, emotional and conscious target. It is up to you to make it work towards your own personal fitness achievement.

First of all, know that there will be challenges. We may zigzag to get there with our actions but if you are prepared, visualization will work Exercise Your Mind: Notice when and where you use the word “want.” Pay attention to the actual things and events that are connected with this word. Let go of using the word “want.” Several times a day just focus on your heart’s desire. See yourself and “it” in the picture, experience having and interacting with the image, and feel gratitude. Once a day, spend a longer period of time, three to five minutes resonating with the whole experience, and send this energy out into the universe to pull and help push you. It’s internal motivation, the motivation that is long lasting when practiced regularly.

Most importantly, you get immediate and continuous results, and spins off to other areas of your life. Most who have used positive personal imagery become happier, more assertive in their life’s purpose and are more confident people as well as leaner people. And they stay that way.

Autoimmune Disease Symptoms – A Positive Sign Of Multiple Diseases

Our body depends on its immune system to stave off diseases and several alternative illnesses. When the system becomes modified in such a manner that instead of protecting the body it begins to attack it and caused damage, we tend to are said to have an autoimmune disease. Symptoms vary from disease to disease and from patient to patient. The major downside is that we currently do not have any way to cure an autoimmune disease and as a result of of the huge selection of symptoms they will be very arduous to diagnose.

The biggest reason for this is that this large list of autoimmune disease symptoms can be connected to anyone of a variety of disorders and diseases. Many of those sicknesses can solely be determined by extensive testing that several individuals are not willing to undertake unless they need absolutely no choice. In the case of multiple sclerosis one among the most devastating autoimmune diseases the diagnosis could be the results of eliminating all alternative possibilities.

Maybe the most commonly known of all autoimmune disease symptoms is fatigue.
