Why Positive Affirmations Need a Nurturing Environment to Be Successful
For your practice of saying positive affirmations to have the best chance of being successful you need to practice them in a nurturing environment.
Take the example of germinating seeds. While some seeds are directly planted outdoors, in other cases seeds are germinated in special environments such as a greenhouse where the ambient conditions can be controlled. This gives the germinating seeds the best possible start in life.
In many cases, when you start the practice of saying positive affirmations your mind is in a negative state. It’s like a garden that’s completely overrun with weeds. In such a garden the weeds seem to grow effortlessly and often look much sturdier and healthier than the plants you’re attempting to grow.
Similarly, under such conditions, your mind is more receptive to the negativity that surrounds you. It is in harmony with negativity. Negativity is its base-line state. This is what your mind will readily revert to before your neural re-conditioning. And so you need to create for yourself the equivalent of a greenhouse for your positive affirmations.
Consider another example. This time imagine a patient who has been given a liver transplant yet still continues to drink alcohol. You know that the chances of their body rejecting the new liver are going to be very high. Likewise, for your mind to accept your new positive affirmations you need to immerse yourself in a positive, nurturing, supportive environment to give your new affirmations the best possible chance of taking hold.
You know how individuals working an environment where there are high levels of potentially life-threatening radioactive radiation have to wear a dosimeter to show when they have reached their radiation threshold. Well, it’s a pity there isn’t such a dosimeter for negativity so that you know when you’ve reached your critical level of negativity. You see you have to take into account that it’s not only what people say it’s people’s thoughts as well. Thoughts have energy. So just being around a negative person can place you in a very vulnerable state.
Having said this some people are very attuned to their environment and can readily sense whether it has a positive or negative energy signature even if there isn’t anyone there. And, even if you’re a bit of a sceptic I bet you’ve had the experience, at some point, where you’ve been somewhere and the atmosphere felt distinctly uncomfortable although you could quite say why.
The first 30-90 days of practicing your new affirmations are critical. You may need to audit your friends, for example and ensure that you are not spending time around people who are negative and not supportive of you.
In fact, you want to do the polar opposite. Find yourself a new group of friends and or associates who are positive, who think on a higher plane than you and who have accomplished the things that you want to achieve.
And if you don’t personally know such people then you can certainly gain access to such individuals even if it’s just reading their biographies, their books, listening to their audios and watching their videos. And that means that you don’t necessarily have to rely on the ‘support’ of individuals who are still alive. There are many individuals who are now dead but whose spirit you can still tap into. And “spirit” here is not used in a religious context but simply refers to the essence of someone. By studying the world’s great achievers and people who inspire and motivate you can begin to understand how they thought about things and expand your own thinking.
If you completely immerse yourself in a positive environment you’ll make it an uncomfortable environment for your negative thoughts and your practice of saying daily positive affirmations will have the best chance of success.

Creating Positive and Lasting Successful Relationships
It is a fact that as human beings one of our most basic needs is to fit in with the environment that we live in.
From childhood, we learn about where we come from and what makes up our family. As we grow older, we start to ask questions about ourselves and start to build an identity for ourselves that matches our view of the world around us.
During our teenage years we experience some of the most defining moments that stay with us through to our adult lives. It is during this time that we lay down the foundations to who we are and how we relate to the people around us.
Relationships are formed because each one of us has a need to fit in. The way we “fit in” is different for everyone. That is why there are so many various hobbies, groups and social events available to take part in. Each person joining these different groups may share a common interest on the surface, but may have more specific needs that they want to fulfill by joining a particular group. Some are looking for their “soul mates”, individuals to whom they are intimately drawn to through a favorable meeting of minds and with whom they find mutual acceptance and understanding with one another.
On a deeper level though, all these different groups and ways of self expression share a common link: the need to feel valued as an individual and to be listened to as a human being. In any interpersonal relationship, for most of us, there is nothing more important than being aware that we are being listened to and are valued for being ourselves. After all what is the real reason for you wanting to be in a relationship? What is your definition of a long lasting relationship?
If you breakdown the word relationship to re-late, it is easier to understand the whole mechanism of positive lasting relationships. When you develop the ability to relate or to connect to other people around you, whether it is at work or in your personal life, you stop seeing them just from your point of view and are willing to see things from their perspective. Once you are able to free your thoughts from your world and start noticing the events of others around you, your world changes and you grow as a person. You start to see yourself and the things that you say and do from a different angle and this helps you to understand the people in your life better.
Creating and having positive relationships is something that most people want. Even if they deny it, everyone at one point in their life is looking to better themselves by improving their interrelationship skills. No matter what kind of relationship it is, work or personal, the need is the same: To create understanding so that your common goals can be achieved together.
The problem is, when a person wants to improve their relationship skills, they fall into a common trap. Hence, they start learning certain techniques that will help them become better communicators’ i.e. positive mental attitude (P.M.A) and body language. On their own they do produce good results, but on the whole they still leave the user limited to the kind of quality they can have in their relationships. Even though they may see themselves coming from a more enlightened path, unless they see other people as human beings with needs of their own, people around them will always be resistant to their advances. This is because we have the ability to sense when someone is not being entirely truthful to us. So even though you might try to take an interest in your co-workers simply to try and build good rapport for your work team, if you don’t genuinely see them as individual human beings they will notice this and will put up a barrier between you and them.
Can you think of a similar situation in your personal life when someone was trying hard to show their interest in you simply because they wanted to gain some advantage over you? How did that feel? There are few things worse than feeling that someone isn’t being totally honest with you. It causes you to be less open to them and to be on your guard. So what can you do to make sure that you don’t fall into this trap?
The first thing is to find out what it is you want from the relationships you seek. What specific qualities would you like the other person to have? Are they confident? Are they honest? Are they loyal? By finding out what it is you want from a relationship, sets up the boundaries for what you will and will not accept from a relationship.
To find out about the kind of person you want to be having a lasting relationship with also involves knowing yourself better. Are you confident, honest or loyal? Do you need to change yourself or your habits to be able to find your “ideal” partner? What would you have to do differently to be with that person you want?
When you are looking for the perfect relationship, it is not only about what others should do for you. It is also about what you would like to do for others. Imagine your ideal relationship, how would you fit into the picture? Sometimes when you dream about something, you concentrate on how the whole scene would look like and what everyone will be doing, but you forget to focus on yourself and the things you will be doing differently.
Creating positive and lasting relationships comes down to creating a positive and lasting outlook on your life. All too often we get caught up in our everyday lives and thoughts and it is easy to lose sight of the potential power we have in ourselves to achieve our deepest desires. When this happens, the people around you will notice and retreat further away from the ideal that you want to create.
To break this cycle requires an awareness that it exists in the first place. By hiring a life coach who specialises in relationships, you could easily find solutions to your relationship problems. A relationship coach is there to help you reconnect with who you really want to be.

Super Healing Secrets Using Mindset and Emotions in Internet Marketing
Hi, Lorraine Menza here, and in this video/blog I am going to talk about the super healing secrets using mindset and emotions in internet marketing. I had the privilege of listening to Dr. Elaine Ferguson on PBS the other day. She wrote a book called Super Healing Secrets.
Basically, she addressed that your emotional health has 7 X the ability to increase or decrease chronic diseases. Are you constantly angry, fearful, anxiety, upset, or just a negative person? We have the power to change our lives; not just in a healthy way, but also in a positive way!
Emotional toxins can be immediately interrupted by laughter and deep breathing! Motion can interrupt emotional toxins! For deep breathing, put one hand on your chest and one hand on your abdomen, and start deep breathing. You should only feel the abdomen moving with your hand. Practice deep breathing for two days until it becomes a habit!
Dr. Elaine Ferguson says that the way you eat, think, and feel can restore diseased cells! You can change genes and how they express themselves! Pretty powerful stuff! I am going to further this by talking about emotions!
How do you control your emotions? Do you have a daily habit of working on your emotions? Do you hang around with positive people? Do you read positive personal development books…….like Dr. Wayne Dyer and Joel Olsteen? Do you read positive business books like Think and Grow Rich, Rich Dad Poor Dad, or the Four Hour Work Week? Do you say positive affirmations and believe them as you say them? Do you act like your outcome already exists? Do you spend time in gratitude daily? Do you meditate?
Working on your mindset daily is so powerful that it changes those emotional toxins. According to Dr. Elaine Ferguson “Positive Emotion are nutrients and health giving chemicals that allow ourselves to function with ease.” That is why working on your daily mindset is very powerful!
Daily mindset leads to optimism. Optimists are healthier and if they get sick they recover faster! So all you internet marketers, are you ready to change your mindset and work on it daily? There are many benefits to do this and one of them is your health!

Success Secrets – The Mindset of Highly Successful Individuals
All personal development experts are in agreement that peak performers have certain characteristics in common which enables them to achieve phenomenal success. Hence, it follows that if you were to study and adopt these characteristics that you too could dramatically improve your level of success.
Thought leader James A Ray has identified five (5) key characteristics of highly successful people.
1. Powerful Personal Will
Expressed another way, peak performers know exactly what they intend to create in life. They have an iron will. Take the real estate entrepreneur, Frank McKinney. He recently completed his fourth Badwater ultramarathon. This is 135 mile marathon described by National Geographic as the toughest marathon in the world. And the setting for this event is Death Valley. Competitors have only a 60% chance of finishing. This is an event that will finish the ill-prepared. Frank McKinney pushes himself to his limits for a very worthy cause – his Caring House Project – but it takes a strong will and enormous discipline to subject yourself to such an ordeal.
2. Laser Focus
They are incredibly focused and single-minded. Once they establish their intention and set a goal they direct their full resources to the attainment of that goal. And this level of focus doesn’t just relate to personal and business goals. It’s pertinent to everything that they do. I recently read about someone who had an interview with Tiger Woods. The interview was at a hotel and, as you can imagine, Tiger Woods was receiving an incredible amount of attention. Yet, he gave the person interviewing him his full attention. That level of focus has been many years in developing and it is just one of the things that makes Tiger Woods the phenomenal sports person that he is.
3. Highly Energetic
Ralph Waldo Emerson said “Do the thing and you’ll find the energy to do thing.” Successful people certainly know the meaning of this. You only have to look at someone like Richard Branson. He has a wide range of interests from his involvement with Formula 1 with Team Brawn to space exploration with Virgin Galactic. He plays a very hands-on role in promoting his various companies. People who are energetic tend to be passionate about what they do. Their enthusiasm and excitement is contagious. Passion for what you do is what will keep you going when times get tough and, if you’re going after anything that is worthy of you, things will certainly get tough at times. But, as Mark Victor Hansen said:
“Whoever has the most energy wins. Energy gives one confidence, power, self-esteem and new possibilities.”
4. Unshakeable Self-Belief
One of the reasons why people fail to achieve their goals is that they simply don’t believe in themselves. So they don’t believe that they can achieve their goals and they don’t take action. This is learnt behaviour. Take the example of a normal healthy baby. When that baby learns how to walk it doesn’t give up after the first attempt thinking “Dumb idea trying to stand on two legs. I think I’ll crawl for rest of my life.” No, the baby falls down and then simply gets up again and the baby keeps refining its movements and keeps trying until they can walk. It’s only later in life that we develop this attitude where if you’re not immediately successful then you give up before you start. And this attitude stems from a negative self-belief so take the advice of best-selling author of “The Success Principles”, Jack Canfield and:
“Choose the belief you would have if you knew you could be successful.”
5. Growth Driven
Declan Dunn said that when you achieve success is not the time to sit on your laurels and bask in the glory of your achievement. Instead, it’s a time when you should re-invent yourself. Madonna is a master of the art of re-invention and her results reflect this. She is the highest paid female singer in the world and has held this status for at least 3 years. However, growth is not just about re-inventing yourself. It’s about continually improving and expanding yourself and whatever business you’re involved in. And the fact is that if you’re not continually striving to improve then you will slide into a state of decline because nothing remains static. As James A Ray says:
“Spirit only has one objective – fuller expression and expansion.”
And, it is seeking to do so through you.
